Commercial Pavement Marking in Metro Detroit

Arrows, crosswalks, fire lanes, stop bars, and curbs tell drivers and pedestrians where to go. When they fade, people guess, and guessing is how accidents and fire code write-ups happen. We mark commercial lots, private drives, and truck courts across Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb County.

Calls answered 24/7. After-hours work available.

Markings do the directing your signs can't.

A driver entering your property decides in a few seconds where to turn, where to stop, and where to park. Clear pavement markings make that decision for them. Faded ones leave people cutting across stalls, going the wrong way down one-way aisles, and stopping in fire lanes.

Fire lanes, crosswalks, and stop bars carry the most risk when they disappear. Fire lane markings are a common item on fire marshal inspections, and a faded crosswalk is hard to defend after a pedestrian gets clipped. Keeping these visible is one of the cheapest forms of liability protection a property has.

Pavement marking covers everything on the ground beyond the stall lines. If you only need stalls, see parking lot striping. Most jobs combine both.

Markings we apply

  • Directional arrows and lane lines
  • Crosswalks, standard and ladder style
  • Stop bars and STOP text
  • Fire lane lines and stencils
  • Red, yellow, and blue curb painting
  • Loading zones and diagonal hatching
  • Speed bump and hazard marking
  • Custom stencils: reserved, visitor, EV charging, numbers

Paint or thermoplastic?

Waterborne traffic paint is the standard for most parking lot markings. It goes down fast, dries quickly, and is easy to refresh during regular restriping.

For spots that take constant turning traffic, like drive-thru lanes, entrance crosswalks, and stop bars at busy exits, thermoplastic is often the better buy. It costs more up front but lasts several times longer, so you stop repainting the same arrow every spring. We'll tell you which areas are worth it and which aren't.

Pavement marking FAQ

Do you mark private roads and drives?

Yes. We mark private roads in apartment complexes, condo associations, industrial parks, and campuses, including center lines, stop bars, crosswalks, and arrows.

What are the requirements for fire lane markings?

Fire lane requirements are set by your local fire department and city code, and they vary by municipality. We mark to whatever your fire marshal or city specifies, including line color, stencil wording, and curb color.

How long do pavement markings last?

Traffic paint typically lasts one to two years in Michigan, depending on traffic and plowing. Thermoplastic markings usually last several years in the same conditions.

Can you add new markings to an existing layout?

Yes. Adding EV charging stalls, new crosswalks, reserved stencils, or a revised traffic pattern is common. We match your existing layout or help you redesign the flow.
